British Orthopaedic Association, Liverpool, 21st September 2023

We will be joined by Mr Simon Hodkinson, President of the British Orthopaedic Association and guests to explore surgical mistakes through the lens of one of the most senior Orthopaedic Consultants in the NHS. Orthopaedic Research UK Webinar 2nd October 2023

This webinar will be held at 8pm GMT and is open to surgeons from anywhere in the world. With help of special guests Niel Kang (Consultant Shoulder Surgeon at Cambridge University Hospitals) and Michael Pullinger (Orthopaedic Trainee) we will host an interactive simulation, encouraging surgeons to put themselves in their colleagues clogs as common operating room scenarios take a turn for the worst. Oops: Learning form Surgical Mistakes featuring Dr Adam Kay, Southampton 10th November

Back for the 2nd year this session is aimed at Orthopaedic Trainees and will feature special guest and former Obstetrician Adam Kay who will be sharing the ups and downs of his colourful career in surgery. There will also be talks from Mr Nigel Rossiter (Orthopaedic Consultant and Ex-President / founding member of the British Trauma Society) and Mr Rob Wheeler (Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeon and Honorary senior lecturer in medical law, Southampton School of Medicine). This event is funded by Health Education England and attendance is restricted.
